This place is awesome! I was immediately greeted by three friendly faces in Deacon, Landon and Mayleiah. They walked us through how to order and the food was fresh and delicious! Not to mention they give generous portions of tuna! Between the great food and customer service, I’ll be coming back here whenever I’m in town!
Hard to say which is better - the ingredient quality, service, or atmosphere! This is probably the top poke place on my list now. At Island Fin Poke you get 3 scoops of protein, so you can mix and match! I got spicy tuna, shrimp, and chicken. I got the marinade my new friend Deacon called the “sweet heat” and it complemented everything else well. They might not have the largest selection of add one of every place in town, but they have some good quality fruit, with the mango being a great choice! Great sauces to finish as well. Deacon behind the counter did a great job walking me through the options and loaded me up with good stuff! They also gave us a complimentary Dole sample that was very good!
I did a build your own. I loved the entire thing. They also had a fun flavors by their soda selection. I will be back!
This place is fabulous! The food is fresh and healthy, and it reminds me of being in Hawa'ii. The owner Luke is very friendly and accommodating. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and they are pet friendly with dog water bowls. This is a lovely franchise that it is locally owned and operated. There are lots of cool things on the wall including surfboards with Tallahassee on them. You can customize your bowl with us to 3 proteins and a variety of toppings. The base is your choice of white rice, brown rice, or spring mix. There are so many things to add including fresh chopped pineapples, mangoes, jalapenos, edamame, and lots of choices of sauces. On Tuesdays the premium toppings including avocado, roe, and krab are free. There is also happy hour every late afternoon where the Dole whips (delicious soft serve dessert) are half price. I went in January for the first time for the Island Poke anniversary with a friend. She is a regular, and the people who work there are friendly and helpful. Jesus helped me pick all my toppings, and he is very knowledgeable. They also do catering! FYI do a check in on Yelp, and they will give you a Dole treat! Awesome.
We were passing through town on the way back to Pensacola and we don’t like to eat fast food, so we ended up finding them on Seed Scout. From the moment we walked in the service, food and atmosphere was outstanding! Palmer and Deacon were working that day and I don’t think I’ve ever had better service in a casual dining restaurant. I approached them after the crowd had died down and asked if their family owned the place, because their parents did a damn good job! Turns out they do own it! Well done guys, we hope to return on our next road trip.
I recently dined at Island Fin Poke Co. in Tallahassee, and it was a fantastic experience. All three of us ordered the spicy tuna poke bowl, and it was absolutely perfect. The flavors were fresh, balanced, and just the right amount of spice. Even though I took a picture after it was half eaten, it still looked and tasted great! The service was excellent—friendly and attentive. The owner even stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was fun and had a laid-back Hawaiian vibe, which added to the overall experience. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a delicious poke bowl on the north side of Tallahassee. Be sure to check out the fun decor both inside and out—I'll include multiple pictures to show off the cool atmosphere.
Ashley and Deacon make the best bowls!!!! Also this place literally has the best poke in Tallahassee. I come here 2-3 times a week. They are all so family friendly!! And Ashley and Deacon make my order perfect every single time even sprinkle a little extra on there. I love the new stickers and Dole flavors every week and month to. I’m telling you this is literally my favorite place to eat at in town!!
Excellent dining experience! I really enjoyed Island Fin Poke. It was fun, different, and delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I really appreciated the flexibility of building your own bowl. There were many flavors and ingredients to choose from. And they can find something that everyone likes. Dietary restrictions aren’t an issue at all.
